We met on a British Airways flight to London in March 1997. In typical fashion, I arrived at the airport late but was lucky enough to get one of the last seats on the over booked flight. While I was rushing through security, I passed Brian who watched me shoot by. When he caught up with me at the boarding gate we struck up a conversation but that was it, I was more interested in sleeping on the flight then chatting. But a week later we were booked on the same flight home. After spending a few hours standing next to the bathrooms talking, we decided to go for dinner in Boston. And that is how I met Brian!! - Katherine

Just about 3 years later and on the other side of the country, I proposed to Kayte for Valentine's Day. Kayte had moved back to Boston for school and I was working for Amazon.com but she came to Seattle for the weekend. After a day of enjoying the shops, sites, and rainy Seattle weather, we walked down to a pier around sunset. Overlooking the Pudget Sound, I got down on one knee and proposed. Luckily, Kayte said "Yes!" We were afraid everyone would think we were crazy, but to our surprise, everyone was thrilled and just wanted to know how soon we would get married.

These days we live in Boston with our baby girls, Sayuri and Saboo. These 2 Bengal kitties are so much fun. Right now we live in our apartment downtown by the Symphony and we are looking forward to moving in August to our condo in the Marina Bay neighborhood of Quincy, just south of Boston.
